Our story
Global Pet Relocation was founded with the mission to set the new standard in international pet relocation through exceptional service and pet safety at the forefront. Our journey began as a passion for ensuring pets and owners would have the best possible experience when moving a precious family member. Today, by blending technological advances with years of pet shipping experience, our dedicated team continue to make us the trusted choice for pet owners worldwide.
The company is launched in 2018
We begin offering bespoke pet travel services for clients around the world, and partner with the world’s leading global mobility companies to assist executives and VIPs with their pets’ trips.
The planes stop flying!
Despite a global pandemic making cross-border pet travel incredibly difficult, we worked tirelessly with our local contacts to find ways to reunite over 1,000 pets with their owners.

Our board
Mike Gays
Mike grew up around international pet relocation as the son of Ross. Gaining a bachelor’s degree in business and politics from Aston University he followed in his father’s footsteps into pet relocation and has been focussed on nurturing Global Pet Relocation into a leading provider of pet transport globally with a focus of client needs and creative problem solving.
Outside of work Mike is a keen snowboarder, single-digit golfer, and as a below-knee amputee has competed internationally with the England Disabled Golf team. He lives in a busy household next door to the UK office with Laika the office dog, Mac the office cat, his wife Nina, and their two children.
Ross Gays
With over 30 years’ experience in the moving and relocation industry, Ross became involved with the pet transportation industry in 2001. With Don Uyeno and another partner they founded a leading pet transport company which remains in operation to this day. Following many successful years, in 2018 Ross, with Don and Mike, formed Global Pet Relocation in order to expand on past success and develop a new standard in the pet relocation industry.
Ross and his wife Anna-Maria enjoy trips with their rescue Podenco dogs, Riff and Raff, and watching their young grandsons growing up.
Don Uyeno
Don, along with Ross and a third partner, founded a successful international pet transport company in 2001. During the ensuing 17 years, their organisation became the leading pet transportation company in the world, servicing Fortune 500 company executives.
Don was actively involved with the International Pet and Animal Transport Association (IPATA) for several years and has served on their Board of Directors. As the owner of multiple businesses in the pet transport industry, he constantly seeks new approaches to advance the relocation of pets around the world.
Don lives in sunny Cape Coral, Florida with his wife Joanne and enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren.
